A Matsuri is a festival where offerings are made to welcome gods, buddhas, or even ancestors so that they will watch over and protect our daily lives. During a Matsuri, there will be many varieties of public performances made in prayer for peace, an abundant crop, and more. These performances are extremely important during a Matsuri, so most are held when the seasons change.
