Mainly in April and September
Regional Shinto Shrine Festivals
A variety of Centipede Lion Dance passed from generation to generation in the Himi city area where 5 to 6 people are under the lion's body curtain. The lion fights with a Tengu ("long-nosed goblin") wearing an Eboshi hat, and together they perform a Shishi-Goroshi ("lion slaying") dance.
