A dance performed during the transition festival at Oimatsu Shrine. It involves male and female lion dancers opposed by children acting as lion tamers to the accompaniment of gongs and drums. This dance is a symbolic prayer for a bountiful harvest, purification of the people, and to suppress evil spirits in the region.
